Design of a highly loaded sedimentation tank in the paper industry

This project, which was preceded by not simple sedimentation tests, gradually reaches the shape of the project documentation. It is concerning a pre-treatment of wastewater from the processing of waste paper. Pre-treatment of wastewater is carried out by sedimentation in the settling tank and subsequently discharged into the municipal sewer. Typical for wastewater from this kind of industry are insoluble substances, which are relatively heavy and have ability to sediment very well and quickly. Therefore, there is a sedimentation tank in the design, which will effectively remove vast majority of insoluble substances even under high load.
