Nestlé Holešov, Czech Republic
Nestlé Holešov, Czech Republic
Nestlé Holešov is a confectionery manufacturer. In the past, the generated wastewater was pretreated only using a flotation unit before being discharged into the municipal sewer system. Nowadays, the wastewater treatment plant has been upgraded with the addition of high-load anaerobic reactor with granular biomass. The final effluent is anaerobically pretreated wastewater that meets the requirements of municipal sewer regulations. Another by-product is biogas, produced in the anaerobic reactor, which has significant energy potential and used in factory.
