Treated wastewater will be used back in production of starch
Tertiary treatment of wastewater produced from starch production is being put into operation these days. This part of the WWTP is being built after Hydrotech executed a well-functioning biological anaerobic-aerobic wastewater treatment plant there a few years ago. The aim of the tertiary stage is to treat biologically treated water to such parameters that the water can be reused back in the production process. It is an elegant solution, as the customer is currently limited by lack of clean water at the factory. Used technology consists of adsorption of pollution on activated carbon, coagulation, sedimentation, filtration and UV disinfection.
