The development of industrial production has caused not only the increase in the concentration of pollutants in wastewater but also the need for water saving and operating costs which are related to the large consumption of electricity.
One of the available solutions to these problems is the implementation of an anaerobic purification system during which high-quality biogas is produced. This system is provided in the form of separate treatment or in combination with aerobic treatment. Currently, we use two types of anaerobic reactors namely UASB reactors and IC reactors.
